Who is he?

Yevgeniy (Eugene) Mikityanskiy, DO is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. His career began at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY, where he earned his medical degree. Dr. Mikityanskiy moved on to NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, NY to complete his residency in internal medicine. During his residency, he was appointed to numerous academic positions, including assistant chief resident, simulation center paracentesis training instructor, and medical student facilitator. Upon graduation, Dr. Mikityanskiy was awarded the prestigious John F. Aloia, MD award for academic excellence. He then spent one year as a teaching hospitalist at NYU Winthrop Hospital and another year as a teaching hospitalist at NYC H+H Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at NYC H+H Coney Island, serving as chief fellow in his final year.

During his training, Dr. Mikityanskiy’s research was published in numerous prestigious journals including the American Journal of Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His work was also presented at national conferences by the American College of Gastroenterology, American College of Physicians, and Society for General Internal Medicine.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Mikityanskiy proudly served on the frontline, providing his expertise in general internal medicine by taking care of many very sick and complex patients. His dedication was recognized by NYC H+H Coney Island as well as local news outlets, including Brighton Beach News and Russkaya Reklama.

Dr. Mikityanskiy has a special interest in the topics of colon polyps, gastrointestinal bleeding, transplant hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease. Using the latest technological advances in medicine and gastrointestinal endoscopy, Dr. Mikityanskiy is able to provide patients with high-quality, compassionate care.
